Looking for a luxurious holiday getaway you can actually afford? You need to take a closer look at Vancouver. I know, I know, you’re thinking, “What? Canada? Are you serious?” While you might not believe this, the city is actually known a bit for its luxury accommodations as well as all the cool things to do there – like the night life.

Take a look at the top 10 reasons a visit to Vancouver:

  1. The Outdoors – Nothing says luxury like being out on a yacht on the water and looking at the Vancouver skyline.

  2. The Weather – With weather a lot like Seattle, there’s a lot of luxurious patios to sit on and drink mimosas while the sun sets.

  3. International Cuisine – Another great reason is all the wonderful foods from around the world. This is high class eating at its best.

  4. Art – With a world class museum, you’re going to feel like a king (or queen) when you browse all the great artwork available.

  5. Gardens – You also have a great selection of parks and gardens to make you feel refined and upper class as you walk and take the time to stop and smell the roses. Stanley Park is one place to stop.

  6. Gastown – If you love history and want to take a look back in time, you need to stop in Gastown and check out all it has to offer. Just make sure you head back to the city to get a hotel room.

  7. DougieDog – Fancy a $100 hotdog? You can get one on Granville Island at DougieDog. Make sure you take the time to savor every expensive bite.

  8. Whistler – If you’re willing to travel a little, you can find the Whistler ski resort north of Vancouver. This is northern living at its absolute best.

  9. Chinatown – Strolling through Chinatown will take you to another world without having to leave the city. Make sure you stop somewhere to get some green tea.

  10. Beaches – Nothing says luxury like being able to sit back on the beach and enjoy the views. You can’t do this all year long, of course, but if you travel to Vancouver during the warm months, you’re going to dig all the great beaches they have around the city.

As you can plainly see from the list of items above, there’s a lot of reasons to go to Vancouver. If you have any you’d like to add, please leave us a comment below!
