Turkey is a unique country with something to please everyone, from walking along the beautiful beaches of Oludeniz for the romantic couple, discovering the ruins at the Aspendos Roman Theatre for history buffs, or a bit of shopping in the Grand Bazaar, the world’s first shopping centre, for the fashionista.

The weather here can be varied; places like Ankara can be a bit colder than places such as Antalya. In general however, Turkey is warmer in the times from May – September.

The city itself is split between two continents. It has been compared to the likes of New York and Paris. It’s filled with shopping areas like Istikal Street, which has a variety of shops, local and international.  You could sit in a shisha cafe while you wait for the streets vibrant night life to start. Places like the Jolly Joker play more indie music, or you could choose to go to the James Joyce Irish pub where you can play darts, or even have dance lessons.

Nearby to Istikal Street you will find the Dolmabahce Palace, here you’ll see the impressive architecture built by Sultan Abdulmecid. With 14 tonnes of gold leaf covering the ceilings, the palace was built with luxury in mind, much like the Suleymaniye Hamam. This is one of the cities many traditional baths, and the only one where men and women can bathe together. The price you pay to get in will include a bath, scrub and massage.  Although do note you will only be allowed in if you are in a group.

360 Istanbul is a restaurant to be seen. There are 3 different versions of it around the city. They each have a 360 degrees view of Istanbul, but each with a slightly different atmosphere. 360 Istanbul is in the central city also turns into a club on the weekends, DJs, live singers and various other entertainment acts are in the venue from around midnight. 360 Istanbul Suadaclub is located on an island (a 5 minute boat ride from the city) is more relaxed but no less entertaining. The food is always the highest quality; it mixes the traditional cuisine with international foods. Sushi, pizza and noodles are just some of the dishes on offer. 360 Istanbul East, is as the name suggests, located in the East of the city. This restaurant even has a swimming pool to go along with the same high standard of food, entertainment and views. The restaurants are all very unique and well worth a visit.

If you want to experience a bit more luxury in Istanbul, you can choose to stay at the Four Seasons 5-star hotel. It has spectacular architecture and a beautiful center courtyard. It also has an outdoor and indoor pool, and a spa. There is a room to please all needs and expectations.
