This past week in New York City, electric violinist Sarah Charness played the Fashion for Charity event sponsored by MTV as a special tribute to 9/11, as the much anticipated fashion week comes to a close.

The event was held at Stage 48, and benefited Hope for Them Foundation and New York Cares Organization. The event was be hosted by MTV personality Lenay Dunn, with a special performance by Grammy Award-winning superstar Pras Michel of The Fugees.

The Fashion show featured renowned fashion designer Raul Penaranda; who was recently declared as “one of the fastest growing emerging fashion entrepreneurs” by Forbes Magazine.

Mike Jean, founder of Hope for Them Foundation commented “I look forward to this special tribute to honor those we lost, while showcasing some of New York’s most innovative and creative talents within the fashion industry.”

Guest list included: Theodore Leaf – star of Secret Guide to Fabulous, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola (J-Wow), Ramona Singer- star of the Real Housewives of New York and Celebrity Photographer Patrick McMullan. Specialty cocktails will be provided compliments of Solbeso’s sponsored one-hour open bar.
