Located within Mexico’s most exclusive beach community along the golden shores of the Riviera Nayarit, The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort is pleased to announce the inaugural International Golf Club Challenge, inviting golf enthusiasts and culinary aficionados on an unparalleled four-night journey, January 14-18, 2015.

The International Golf Challenge brings together golfers from around the world and friends from Punta Mita to partake in three competitive rounds of golf on the resort’s two signature Jack Nicklaus designed courses, Pacifico and Bahia, as well as golf clinics with U.S. Open Champion and 10-time PGA Tour winner Corey Pavin.

Guests will discover the flavors of Mexico with world-class cuisine by an acclaimed group of Mexico’s top chefs, including Maycoll Calderon of J&G Grill by Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Pato Persico, Naoiki Katori, Thierry Blouet, Betty Vasquez, Riviera Nayarit ambassador.  Culinary experiences will be paired with libations by tequila masters and winemakers to take guests on a cultural culinary adventure.

“We are thrilled to unveil The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort’s newest signature destination event, welcoming golfers from near and far to represent their local golf clubs and compete on our unparalleled courses in paradise,” said Carl Emberson, general manager. “Combined with epicurean delights by some of Mexico’s best chefs, the International Golf Club Challenge will offer golfers and their guests an unforgettable experience in true St. Regis style.”

The International Golf Club Challenge commences on Wednesday, January 14 with the Opening Cocktail Dinner, where guests will be welcomed with contemporary Italian cuisine while overlooking the pristine beaches of Bahía de Banderas at the resort’s Sea Breeze Beach Club.

On Friday, golf enthusiasts proceed to round two of the golfing extravaganza on the resort’s oceanfront Bahia course and will end the day with an incredible Sunset Cocktail Cruise aboard the Signature St. Regis Yacht.

Each evening will feature dinner at one of The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort’s four spectacular restaurants, each featuring a different Mexican guest chef preparing extraordinary culinary creations.

Golfers will return to the Pacifico course for their third and final round of golf on Saturday, January 17.  After a day on the green, guests will congregate on the beach to enjoy live music and dancing for the Closing Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony.  To conclude the event, The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort will treat guests to a Farewell Brunch on Sunday, January 18 at Sea Breeze Beach Club before their departure.
