Small Luxury Hotels of the World Adds 25 Hotels to Curated Lineup

Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) is thrilled to have added 25 hotels to their highly curated collection of independent small hotels so far in 2015.

New, old and renovated; the list of new additions includes a variety of stunning hotels. The following hotels are just a small sampling of what’s to come, and not only new to the SLH brand but also new to the world – as they will all very shortly open their doors for the very first time. As SLH celebrates their membership, they also invite others to celebrate their infancy.

The Laslett, London UK
Named after well-loved community activist, Rhaune Laslett, who organised the first Notting Hill Festival, the hotel will host 51 well-appointed bedrooms and suites, spread across five listed Victorian townhouses on Pembridge Gardens.

Made famous by the film, Notting Hill is also known for Portobello Road Market, the world’s largest for antiques, as well as for its fashionable restaurants and bars. Inspired by this vibrant local scene, the look and feel of The Laslett will evoke the sense of walking into a friend’s stylish home. Pieces from British designers such as Simon Day, Pinch and Earnest Race compliment the interior, whilst art and photography from celebrated local names hang in the rooms. The public space downstairs is part coffee shop, part bar-kitchen, part gallery and part concept store, with regular art exhibitions and a locally sourced food and drink selection that will evolve throughout the day. The Laslett will offer in-room spa treatments and pop-up dining opportunities.

Insider SLH Tip: For those flying solo book the “spare room”, with only two in the hotel this single bed room is really neat. Rates start from: £190 (≈USD297) including breakfast.

H Resort – Beau Vallon Beach, Mahe Seychelles – opening 1 August, 2015
There is nothing usual about the new H Resort opening this summer in the exotic Seychelles; built around a natural lagoon, the hotel is at one with nature. With green foliage visible at every level, the hotel was built while keeping the environment front of mind. Guests will enjoy the connection with nature while also feeling in tune with the local culture; the integration of local Seychellois design with Creole flavour and island style is inimitable.

Located on a 3km stretch of pristine beach, guests of the hotel will have to spend each moment of their time wisely with so many leisure activities including tennis, yoga, a spa and pool on offer. There are also six different dining options, giving guests a wide variety of cuisine to choose from. Trader Vic’s is home to the original Mai Tai while Seyshima offers delicate Japanese dishes.

Insider SLH Tip: Rent one of the only 14 beach villas for a stay that will be truly memorable.
Rates start from: €475.00 (≈USD526) per night per room.

Hotel Lilla Roberts, Helsinki Finland – opening August 25th, 2015
