Down-to-earth, beautiful award-winning actress Patricia Heaton was in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico on December 5th, 2015 at the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit shooting for the Mexico Tourism Board’s highly acclaimed “Welcome Patricias” campaign.
Over 100 crew members from Mexico, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago and New York were present to make sure the colorful campaign was brought to life in the picturesque location. Over the full day, 14 scenes were shot showcasing the beauty and livelihood of the region. The cast was made up of 15 actresses playing “Patricia”, fire dancer, even local peacocks. From the infinity pool to the perfectly manicured grounds to the sunset yacht cruise, the stunning visuals created the ultimate “take me there” campaign.
Dressed in a colorful coral jumpsuit, Patricia chatted about how she got involved in the campaign. Obviously, being named Patricia played a huge role. Patricia loves to travel, even though her first time on a plane was at age 21. Her father was a sports writer, and now and then the family would get to go with dad to cover a game. She has a special love for Mexico, especially for how friendly and welcoming the people are. When she does travel, she doesn’t travel without her “emergency kit” containing tweezers, false eyelashes and Claritin-D, and her best travel tip for all travelers out there? “Go with the flow”.
