As the trendy Japanese inspired dinner theater and club hybrid SUSHI ROXX is approaching its one year anniversary, they are excited to announce that Karina Smirnoff has signed on board to choreograph the fourth performance installment called “ROXX:RELOADED.²  Smirnoff brings 20 years of experience to make it the biggest and best show to-date.  During multiple dinner seatings, guests will be invited to a nightly spectacle where the wait-staff seamlessly slip from servers into the spotlight and  ³Flash Mob² to select songs.

³With such an entertaining atmosphere that incorporates not only a dinner style theater of performers and artists, it lets me bring my Latin style of choreography and creativity to most of the dances, if not all.  I am also looking forward in choreographing other genres of music and match-ups, like Prince, Michel Jackson and Justin Timberlake, it¹s going to be a good time,² explains Smirnoff

Jason Apfelbaum, CEO of ROXX Hospitality Corp., turned to veteran designer DeVinn Bruce to create the exotic, visually enticing and entertaining adventure within and called upon fashion icon Betsey Johnson to design the uniforms for each member of the wait staff.  In addition to the live choreographed entertainment, the main dining room and lounge in the restaurant comes alive each night with Asian cityscapes projected behind guests and pillars being transformed into flowing waterfalls.

While the staff is kept busy with serving through the sexy choreography, Executive Chef Edwin Purnomo is busy in the kitchen preparing his signature sushi offerings. Highlights from the raw menu include Original ROXX Box like the Salmon Tomato (salmon sashimi, sautéed tomato, onion remoulade, sushi rice), and signature roll offerings like the White Dragon (eel, pickled squash, avocado, cucumber, yuzu, crunch), Spice Girl (spicy salmon, pickled jalapeño, crunch, basil, aioli) and the Mr. Miyagi (avocado, cucumber, Japanese pickle, sprouts, burdock, sriracha). Gary Wallach, formerly of Morgans Hotel Group & Apartment 13, has been named Bar Director of SUSHI ROXX and has created a diverse, flavorful and eye popping program that blends classic cocktails with innovative ideas all while incorporating Asian flavors and fresh ingredients such as the Kung Fu Hustle (Absolut Vodka, cucumber, thyme, lime. sparkling water) and Kobayashi Maru (Woodford Reserve Rye, Sage, Blueberry, St. Germain, Lemon, Xocolatl Mole Bitters).
