KF: How long have you been a multimedia visual artist?
STOUT: A long time. But, my career really took off about 10 years ago after moving to Manhattan. I started showing some sketches and painting at a few local group shows in the city. And then the galleries started to approach me to show more prints in their galleries. We are now adding my sculpture work, films and music to the exhibitions. Which complements the prints and other materials. The shows are more exciting and interesting now. And certainly have more energy and better put together than most of the other museum and gallery now in the city.

KF:
How did you get started?
STOUT: I started sketching and paining when I was very young. But, the last few years I’ve gotten more into adding video and film to our exhibitions. We’re also now adding experimental music and sound to the shows and expanding beyond visual art. I hate to me limited to just one medium.

KF: What do you feel is your biggest accomplishment to date?
STOUT:
We recently sold a couple large sculptures and a series of my prints to a German art collector for placement in a really cool nightclub in Berlin. That’s very exciting, I’m looking forward to visiting the club early next year. The sale took place at the ArtExpo show in New York last April and was a record setting sale for that venue. Also, my upcoming solo gallery exhibition in Times Square this fall will be a large event and will take my career to the next level in the art world. It’s been a lot of work, but I’m really happy the way things are coming together for the show.

KF: Tell us about your upcoming gallery exhibit in October?
STOUT: The Art Nation Gallery is sponsoring my solo exhibition and giving us a large space in Times Square. They’re a really cool gallery that is not afraid to take chances and lets us do our thing. But, then again my work always sells for them. This should be a really exciting and fun event. We’re going to exhibit sculptures and prints from my current series called “Erotic Dreams”. And also show some of my film and video works from past series, making the exhibition more of a retrospective, although not entirely.

KF: What do you love most about your work?

STOUT: Free wine at the exhibitions. But, lately I’ve been getting a bit more into the film work. We’re working on producing a film festival here in New York to give outsider film makers a place to share their works. We’ll also be showing some of my films. I’ve been very busy preparing for the Times Square exhibition and some other minor shows, so   the film festival dates keep getting pushed back. Now likely the festival will be in early 2017.
