Friday’s should always be set aside for shoe shopping and ethnic food night.
Well, at least this Friday the 13th was. Started off the day running errands, and happened to find myself at one of my favorite shoe stores in Hollywood. Walked out with 2 new pairs of sky-high stilettos.
Had the In and Out Burger, Protein-Style with no sauce for lunch. (yum!)
After a quick trip to the 3rd St Promenade, I headed back over to the West Side and to Liquid Kitty. Little did I know that their martini “The Liquid Kitty”” had won several awards for the best martini in LA when I ordered “The Diva”. (Vodka, chambord, sweet and sour, and soda water). The place is so dark you can’t see your hands below you, but does something for the moody, dark atmosphere. Afterwards I met several friends at The Bombay Cafe for some authentic Indian food. The Bombay Cafe has been named by the Zagat Guide as the highest rated Indian food restaurant in LA for several years, racking up tons of press and different awards along the way. Our end of the table ordered the Thali, which is a vegetarian sampler of lentils, cauliflower, potatoes, raita, kachumber, plain naan and basmati rice. For some protein we also ordered the Bombay Sampler, which featured chicken, shrimp, lamb, and a lamb loaf. Our combo was for 2, but we managed to feed 5. =)
