At the end of May I was lucky enough to be invited to North Carolina to be introduced to the brand new 2014 Lexus IS. Like the brand, everything we encountered was perfectly understated luxury, stylish and comfortable.

Upon arriving in Raleigh, we were escorted to the  gorgeous resort by private drivers in the Lexus GS. A comfortable and smooth ride, we admired the lush greenery along the way and soon arrived at the Pinehurst Resort.

For dinner we headed out to the picture perfect Shady Wagon Farm. Set on the lake, this immaculate barn was all rustic elegance and Southern Charm.

We sampled specialty cocktails and local delectables, like the mini crab cake sandwiches topped with fried pickels.

I tried my hand at wood carving.

…and worked up an appetite to enjoy dinner.

After dinner we enjoyed more cocktails on the terrace, with live music.

The next morning started with breakfast on the terrace. Afterwards, we headed to the racetrack.

The infamous Rockingham Speedway. We felt like real racers after a couple of test laps.
