There are some destinations around the world that are simply breathtaking. It’s worth packing a bag, grabbing your passport, taking out longstay insurance and jumping on a plane to experience them. The views that these places offer you will stay with you forever so what better memory than a photograph? Here is a list of some of the best pictures to get.

Great Wall
The Great Wall of China is one of the most amazing man-made structures in the world. Stretching for around four thousand miles, it snakes across the northern border of China and gives spectacular views, as well as making an amazing photograph in itself. Whether you choose to climb it and enjoy the landscape or make the Wall your subject, you’ll get a great shot either way.
Grand Canyon
You’ll find countless photographs of the Grand Canyon on the internet but some of them will take your breath away. The Skywalk offers some of the most unique views of the canyon but taking cameras with you is prohibited; which only adds to the appeal of a photograph here. The glass floor shows you just how deep the canyon plunges below and the fact that it stretches out into the canyon can make you feel like you’re walking on air.
Machu Picchu
The Inca ruins in Peru form one of the most iconic wonders of the world. Situated 7,970 feet above sea level, the ancient city has stood for over half a millennium. If you head out to get there in the early evening, you’ll get the best light for capturing that perfect image. Also, try to come in from the same place that the hikers arrive from; it’ll give you the most stunning angles.
Pyramids of Giza
The ancient pyramids in Egypt are a shining example of architecture. The sheer size of them boggles the mind and gives countless photo opportunities. If you can get the angle just right, you can get the Great Sphinx into the shot along with the mighty pyramids in the background. Of course, there are also plenty of chances to take some joke pictures of you or your companions ‘holding’ the pyramids or touching the top with your finger.
Christ the Redeemer
Expect a lot more pictures of this iconic statue to appear on the internet as everyone gears up for the FIFA World Cup in Rio in 2014. The 105 feet-tall figure has been referred to as one of the wonders of the world, forming part of a list of man-made masterpieces. Construction took around nine years and was officially opened in 1931. The nearby mountains of Sugarloaf and Corcovado will give you a fantastic panoramic view of the statue. Alternatively, take a ground shot to capture the sheer size of this worldwide-known religious symbol.
There are so many other places to visit in a bid to find that ultimate photograph. It may be that buildings are not what you want to capture and you’d prefer to go under the sea for some shots of the stunning natural reefs. Or perhaps you want to get that shot of the polar bears running on the icy plains of the north. Whatever your inspiration, take your camera and get shooting. You might just get the perfect shot where you least expect it.
