This Valentine’s Day the designers at the handmade luxury greeting card company Gilded Age Greetings celebrate one of the most famous romantic lines ever composed with the launch of the “How Do I Love Thee” card.
The cover of this gorgeous piece of art is hand gilded, tooled in 23k gold, and features the renowned poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Customers wishing to give their sweethearts a truly memorable gift will work with the company to create a personalized love letter for their sweetheart inside the card. The tassel-bound cards are presented in a beautiful black silk box with documentation and white gloves. The cost of this valuable valentine is $395, but the impression you will make with this present is priceless!
“Ecards and texting have really taken the romance out of professing your love for that special person in your life. Giving or receiving a Gilded Age Greeting Valentine is something to cherish forever,” said company co-founder Melissa Schechter. “Creating this heartfelt keepsake for the one you love is a truly unique and passionate token of affection.”
Along with Valentine’s Day, cards are available for Christmas, Chanukah, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and more. Cards start at $300 and can go up to $5,000 for the Grand Couture line, which features cards adorned with precious and semi-precious stones, including diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds and rubies.
Gilded Age Greeting cards are created by renowned artist and Co-founder Rosemary Buczek. True to the 15th Century techniques of a Renaissance master, Ms. Buczek paints each card on authentic calf vellum and archival papers using a palette of historical hand ground pigments such as the rich vibrant blues of Lapis Lazuli and brilliant greens of Malachite. Each card is hand signed and numbered by the artist.
