The view from Blue Spruce West.
Sometimes you gotta leave the snow…for more snow. We left NYC for a weekend in Colorado, and headed off to the Vail Cascade Resort and Spa, nestled at the bottom of Vail Mountain. The first thing you have to know about Vail Cascade is that it is a destination. Everything you could possibly need is located at the resort. If you want a weekend of hard-core skiing or luxurious pampering, Vail Cascade has you covered.
The 292-room winter retreat boasts Vail’s largest fitness facility, award-winning spa, two outdoor heated pools, hot tubs, three indoor and three outdoor tennis courts, an indoor track, indoor volleyball and basketball courts, a creekside bicycle trail, Atwood at Gore Creek Fine Dining, lounge area and much more.
Heated outdoor pool.
The 10,000-square-foot spa is decked out in warm wood accents, pillow top beds and some of the most skilled beauty experts in the area.

Situated at the base of Vail Mountain, Chairlift 20 is right on the property for those planning on hitting the slopes. Vail Cascade makes everything simple with the help of boot check-in, ski check-in and bell desk deliveries. Just check equipment, go home and come back later with no lugging and dragging of heavy ski stuff.
Atwood at Gore Creek.
We did both breakfast and lunch at Atwood at Gore Creek, with not only some of the most picturesque scenery but amazing food and great service. For breakfast the pancakes were phenomenal, as were the Eggs Benedict.

Along with the resort, Vail Cascade also manages the condo properties. We were lucky enough to stay in Blue Spruce West, a 2,700 sq. ft. vacation home with 4 bedrooms (2 Master Suites), 4.5 bathrooms, private outdoor hot tub, double car garage and wood buying fireplace. Exposed wooden beams, hardwood floors and the welcoming aroma of timber are just part of the Vail experience when staying at Blue Spruce West.

Hi Kim, I located your information about this condo through google? We are reserving it tomorrow for Xmas and want to make sure it is a good choice. Did it feel spacious and was it a hassle to get to the mountain via the shuttle or by car? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
@tclak228 This is the perfect choice for a holiday get together! It was amazingly spacious, and a short walk to the lodge if you didn’t want to wait for the complimentary shuttle service.
