Who doesn’t love a good city break? There’s something oh so appealing about heading off for a long weekend in the city and, to some, it’s far more enjoyable than a week on the beach! For families, couples and solo travellers alike; the city break has never been so popular, however where travellers are choosing to stay is changing, as this infographic put together by Citybase Apartments shows:

Here, we can clearly see that all groups of travellers are heading away on city breaks at least 2 or 3 times a year (and great, so they should) but that solo travellers are trying out new city locations anything up to 6 or more times in the same period!

As opposed to perhaps the more traditional hotel, however, what is surprising is the number choosing to take their break in a serviced apartment, almost opting for that home-from-home luxuriousness rather than the inconveniences of hotels which we are all too familiar with.

We loved this infographic and it encouraged us to go off and start dreaming of our ideal city breaks. Our top three city lusts are:
