Even though summer is over and the leaves are changing colors, memories of your summer adventures are starting to fade and it’s still quite awhile before Christmas vacation is here.
Many of you are probably getting anxious to take a little time off and make some new lasting memories before years’ end. Since many won’t have the time to explore areas around the world, why not take a shorter visit to a destination in your own backyard, in the United States. Here are four different regions of the U.S. you should consider visiting this time of year!
West Coast
If you’re traveling with someone who normally dresses like a princess or you want to spend your winter somewhere that ignores cold weather in most parts, the West Coast might be for you. With magnificent attractions such as Disneyland, San Diego Zoo, and the streets of San Francisco, who wouldn’t want to visit the sunshine state? Or for those looking for a little more of an artsy vibe, Seattle isn’t called the Emerald City for nothing, it’s a fascinating place.
East Coast
From the historical locations in D.C. to the animals and attractions at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay the East Coast offers something for people of all types to enjoy. While time constraints will make it impossible to visit all the amazing destinations on a short trip, you’ll never run out of places to see or things to do.
Midwest
It’s true the Midwest doesn’t have the wave-crashing oceans that the coasts do, but America’s Heartland doesn’t lack awesome destinations for you and your family to visit.
There are historical and lively cities like Chicago to explore and get your first taste of “real” deep-dish pizza. You can also go explore the great lakes, which have plenty of their own beaches to boast about.
Northeast
You’ll definitely need to start dressing warmer if you’re going to go visit the Northeast region, but think about all the historical knowledge and authentic food you’re going to get your hands on! It’s also not a bad time of year to catch an NFL game live in one of these towns amazing stadiums. With cultural cities like Philadelphia, New York and Boston, who needs the beach?
