Warm Up with These Cold Weather Cocktails

Chilly nights are upon us, and if you are looking for a way to warm up during these cold winter months or after a day on the slopes, check out these delicious drinks.

One sip of these cocktails will instantly engulf you in a sense of toasted luxury, creating an atmosphere of ease.

 

FACUNDO Bishop

Ingredients:

  • 2 parts FACUNDO EXIMO Rum
  • 1 part Ruby Porto
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • Cloves
  • Orange wedges

Method:  Place port, orange, and cloves in a small pot.  Warm and allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes, but do not allow the liquid to boil.  Pour contents into a snifter or stemless wine glass.  Add EXIMO and stir.  Add sugar and serve warm.

 

 

The 8th Day

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ parts HAVANA CLUB Añejo Clásico Puerto Rican Rum
  • 3 parts Chai Tea
  • 1 ¾ parts coconut milk
  • 1 part simple syrup or 1 tbs White Sugar

Method: Prepare Chai Tea. While the tea steeps, warm coconut milk over medium heat, do not boil. Combine ingredients in a high temperature resistant mixing glass, adding rum last and stir. Serve in an Irish Coffee Cup or preferred glass coffee cup, and garnish with a cinnamon stick.

 

Blood Orange Blazer

Ingredients:

  • 8 parts Brewed Hibiscus Tea*
  • 2 parts Banks 7 Golden Age Rum
  • 1 parts Hamilton Pimento Dram
  • 1 parts Blood Orange Juice
  • Blood orange peel

Method:  Build in a preheated blue blazer mug.  Garnish with a clove studded spiral blood orange peel.

 

 

Planter’s Punch

Ingredients:

  • 2 parts Banks 7 Golden Age Rum
  • .75 parts Pineapple Juice
  • .75 parts Cranberry Syrup (equal parts fresh cranberry juice and simple syrup)
  • .5 parts Orange Juice
  • .5 parts Lime Juice
  • 1 dash of Angostura Bitters
  • Mint sprig
  • Cranberries

Method: Shake with ice and strain into a terra cotta cup filled with pebble ice.  Garnish with a mint sprig and three cranberries.
