No child should go hungry in America, but 1 in 6 will.

No Kid Hungry is ending childhood hunger today by ensuring that kids start the day with a nutritious breakfast, eat healthy summer meals, and families learn the skills they need to shop and cook on a budget. No Kid Hungry No Kid Hungry kicked off Dine Out in NYC with Saturday Night Live Emmy-nominated actor Kenan Thompson as the driver for the No Kid Hungry Dine Out school bus that hit New York City in Herald Square on Tuesday, August 22nd. Kenan Thompson wants to make sure every kid like his daughter, Georgia, gets the food they need on a daily basis.

The Dine Out for No Kid Hungry school bus tour will be hosting several events in 10 cities along the way to highlight how and where you can dine out and make your meal count for kids.

All September, when guests eat at a No Kid Hungry partner restaurant, from popular chains to local mom-and-pops, they can donate in exchange for money-saving rewards. Every $1 donated connects a child to 10 meals through No Kid Hungry’s programs and partnerships. Last year, this nationwide restaurant fundraiser generated more than 900 million meals for kids. Dine Out For No Kid Hungry is the no. 1 national restaurant campaign that raises critical funds and awareness to end childhood hunger in America. Last year, 15,000 restaurants united with Dine Out for No Kid Hungry. Since 2008, our restaurant partners and their guests have raised nearly $46M to get kids the meals they need, every day.
