The crown jewel of Canada’s trifecta of major cities, Toronto, Ontario is Canada’s largest and most business oriented city. While Bay Street, the Wall Street of Canada, is booming with business acumen, Toronto itself is a thriving city filled with great attractions, restaurants, and bars to visit. In researching more things to check out in the Big Smoke, I spoke with FlightHub, a Canadian online travel agency. I asked that FlightHub review some of the more popular attractions in Toronto to help me figure out why people are going to Toronto specifically. Using their intel, I was able to compile a list of four top attractions in the city.

CN Tower

Dominating the Toronto skyline, the CN Tower is one of the more unique towers in North America. Measuring up at 553 metres, the CN Tower was built in 1973. Royal Ontario Museum

One of Canada’s most prestigious museums, the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) features some of the most impressive collections on the planet. Located conveniently above Museum station, which is decorated with many historical themed pillars, The ROM has many rotating collections to go with a seemingly permanent collection of some of the best fossils around. From dinosaurs to more modern animals like mammoths, you will have no problem getting wowed by this collection, which is surely the highlight of the trip according to FlightHub.

Toronto Blue Jays/Toronto Maple Leafs

Toronto has a long sporting history. While the Toronto Maple Leafs are famous for futility over the last 50 years, seeing a game in Toronto is on the bucket list of any Canadian hockey fan. Designated as a historical site in Canada, Kensington Market is a downtown neighbourhood that features trendy shops and unique street art. One of Toronto’s oldest and most well-known scenes, it is located just North of Toronto’s downtown areas and immediately North of Chinatown.
