The Confidante Taste the Love Package

The Confidante, a playful beach house-inspired resort on Miami Beach, beckons foodie couples this Valentine’s Day and beyond with its new Taste the Love Package.

The three-night epicurean romance offering includes a bevy of culinary experiences that will surprise and delight couples – and their palates – throughout their romantic journey at The Confidante. Featuring a creative culinary welcome amenity, celebrity-chef guided local farmers market tour and private cooking class, foodie couples spa treatment, aphrodisiac turndowns and more, the package is priced at $5,000 per couple.

Luxury accommodations for three nights are offered in one of the hotel’s specialty suites with steps that lead directly down from its spacious terrace to a private poolside cabana.

Guests will feel the love from the moment they arrive to The Confidante with welcome treats like champagne and Fresh Baked Red Velvet Cookies and small batch chocolates curated by celebrated South Florida chef Richard Hales, the culinary mind behind the hotel’s new Southern eatery Bird & Bone restaurant. Next up, a private cocktail class from the resort’s mixologist featuring fresh-pressed amorous ingredients in the newly opened Nina’s House, an eclectic hangout in the resort’s refreshed 1930s-era backyard bungalow.

Couples will also explore a local farmer’s market with Chef Richard and his wife, Jenny Hales, to gather fresh, local ingredients, before a private cooking class. After learning insider tips and tricks to create the perfect romantic meal, couples will enjoy the delectable dinner in a private candlelit cabana.

To burn off some of those well-worth-it calories, duos will head to the beach one morning for a private Beach Yoga and Meditation Class from V Art of Wellness, led by the dynamic celebrity trainer couple, Christopher and Tracie Vlaun. Post-workout, guests can rest tired muscles at The Confidante’s luxurious rooftop spa for a couple’s spa treatment with a surprising culinary twist.

After fresh air, sunshine and plenty of pampering, lovebirds will head to Talde, a contemporary Asian-American neighborhood restaurant and bar located inside The Confidante, for a romantic dinner complete with cocktail pairings. Led by celebrity ‘Top Chef’ alum Dale Talde, the eclectic eatery offers an upbeat vibe that combines the grit of an Asian street market, the allure of a back-alley speakeasy and the anti-establishment art of Brooklyn’s Mafioso rap culture, all in one. To commemorate the experience, couples will also receive a signed copy of the Dale Talde’s Asian-American cookbook.

It doesn’t get more romantic than a stunning Miami sunset, the perfect ingredient to round out the couple’s getaway. As the sky lights up in vibrant orange, red and gold, guests will take in views of the picturesque coastline while enjoying a nightcap of champagne and strawberries on their suite’s private terrace.

Each evening will end on a sweet note with an aphrodisiac turndown service featuring amenities such as chili pepper-spiked chocolate and banana, strawberry and fig fondue.

The three-night Taste the Love package is priced at $5,000 per couple. For more information and reservations, please call 305-424-1234 or visit www.theconfidantehotel.com.

Brewery Gulch Inn Romance on the North Coast Package

The dramatic coastline, pristine beaches, misty sea air, morning fog, and rugged clifftops of the Mendocino coast in winter provide the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable Valentine’s Day experience, courtesy of the award-winning Brewery Gulch Inn.

The Inn, one of Travel + Leisure’s and Conde Nast Traveler’s top hotels in the world, is currently offering a once-in-a lifetime ‘Romance on the North Coast Package.’ This popular package was introduced last year and has been upgraded this year to include some additional bells and whistles, such as the use of a Porsche Carrera 911 Cabriolet.

This four-day, three-night experience begins with pickup in the Bay area by a personal driver who will transport you up to the Brewery Gulch Inn and the coastal town of Mendocino. After check-in at the main lodge, your driver will take you across Smuggler’s Cove to the gated community of Chapman’s Point. There, on an ocean-front, 5-acre parcel, rests the Cottage at Serenity Point, a 700 square foot retreat from the world. And in the driveway, a 1999 Porsche 911 Cabriolet stands ready for your use while in Mendocino.

Inside your cottage, a gift basket from the Inn, a bottle of Roederer’s L’Ermitage sparkling wine accompanied by two custom-crafted commemorative flutes, and a large arrangement of local flowers will confirm that this will be anything but an ordinary vacation. The included dinner that night will be at Mendocino’s noteworthy Cafe Beaujolais.

Each morning, pop up to the Inn for breakfast before beginning your day of adventure. Your first full day will feature a visit to the nearby Anderson Valley, which will include behind-the-scenes tastings at several wineries and a private lunch at one of the vineyards. Dinner that evening will be at the Ledford House, where French country cuisine, live coastal jazz and a heart-stopping view of the Pacific will set the tone for romance.

The next day will feature a private, guided horseback ride through a spectacular old-growth redwood forest, followed by time on your own to explore the picturesque village of Mendocino. Later that afternoon, in the privacy of your cottage, you will be visited by two masseuses who will provide you with an ensuite couples massage overlooking the Pacific. Following your massage, you will enjoy a private, 5-course dinner with local wine pairings prepared and presented in your cottage by Brewery Gulch Inn’s celebrated chef, Scott Allen.

On the last day of your stay, following breakfast, your driver will pick you up at the Inn and transport you back to the Bay area. The cost of this all-inclusive package is $10,000 per couple.

If you happen to have fallen in love with the provided transportation and you’d like to take the 1999 Porsche Carrera 911 Cabriolet home with you (with less than 26,000 miles on it), you can drive it away for an additional $25,000.
