Summer in Israel is something that is rarely experienced only one time as once you have experienced this season in Israel it will instill an everlasting love of this country.

Israeli summers are long and hot. Depending on where you are in the country, the humidity varies making the summer either hot and sweaty or just hot. For example, in the Dead Sea and Eilat there is a desert heat resulting in sweltering temperatures but at least the heat is dry. In Tel Aviv and most of the center, the humidity averages around 70% meaning that the only respite available is at the beach, pool, cafes and bars, or air conditioned comfort of luxury apartments Tel Aviv.

So what is so intoxicating about the summers in Israel? Well, for starters, the Mediterranean Sea provides the perfect backdrop to all summer activities and about the most expense required to enjoy the scene is a few dollars for the luxury of a sun lounge, umbrella, and iced drink should you require them.

Although prices for luxury apartments and hotels are higher during the high season of summer, they are very affordable by international standards. Peripheral luxuries such as fine food and drink are also reasonably priced when compared with most other first world countries.

However, how can you compare the vibe and energy of Israel to any other country. The people are warm and inviting, and most speak passable English. The shopping is international class, and for those who actually want to see the country, there is more on offer in this compact country than in many countries ten times its size.

It is in summer though when Israel is at its best. The people watching is first rate as is the free theater provided by this scene. You are assured of hot weather every day of your trip. No need to worry about bringing a sweater for the evening or something to protect you from a tropical downpour – you are guaranteed of hot, rain-free weather for the duration of your summer stay.

Israeli society is very laid back so there is no need to put on any airs and graces; just be yourself and chill out in the heat. Dress codes are almost non-existent and as a valued tourist you will be fawned upon by all and sundry. Consequently, you can have a great time by just going with flow and doing what you like when you like. It doesn’t get any more luxurious or relaxing than that.
