When you think of a Liberty Jersey holiday in the UK you think of a relatively quiet holiday, walking along rocky coves, sandy beaches, or relaxing by the harbour in St Helier, as you watch the world go by.

This of course is one side of what you can expect when you go on a holiday to Jersey. On the other hand if you do want to experience the night life, then there is nightlife to be experienced.

We start with Mimosa, a bar that overlooks the marina and that offers a stylish way of enjoying local hospitality. You can choose one of the great cocktails or wine and dine with friends, either inside or al fresco taking in the view.

For a bit more on the entertainment side there’s Chambers. It’s in Mulcaster Street and provides live music and comedy. The music is mainly local bands, including some of Jersey’s best known artists, but also UK bands too.

For a real club atmosphere Pure Bar & Club is where it’s at, playing host to some great house, electro, hip-hop and techno sounds. This three floor venue that can hold around 500 people, is for over 18’s only and open late on Friday and Saturdays. No sportswear is allowed so don’t come straight from the beach!

At Koko you can enjoy a sophisticated atmosphere in this the largest Jersey bar. Two huge round bars offer everything from cocktails to cool beer. If you’re feeling flush you can even reserve a champagne table as you listen to the great music. To be part of this experience you need to be over 20 years old.

A bar that’s particularly easy-going is The Halkett Pub & Eating House. Also centrally located in St Helier there are DJ’s and bands performing Thursday to Saturday evenings when they’re open until 1.00am. You’ll need to be over 18 and dress is smart/casual. Entry is free.

A bar with a difference is the Kasbar, full of Moroccan charm,  you can let yourself go with beers and shots. You’ll have to be over 20 to enjoy the Kasbar and its music from the last 5 decades.

Prefer a bit of R&B? Well you’ll love La Cala with its special R&B nights. The Salsa evenings are also great fun, all pulled together by Jersey’s best DJ’s. There’s a bar and late night dance floor as well as a restaurant. The roof terrace is for those who want to hold a private party. Entry is free and it’s open until 2.00am everyday of the week.

The Havana Club is for lovers of Mowtown and soul and the hits of the 60s through to the 80’s. It’s open from 10.00pm to 2.00am 7 nights a week and you’ll need to be 21 or over.

Being on holiday in Jersey you really should try the fish as it’s in abundance here. The Drift Bar at the Royal Yacht is the place where you can do just that in a vibrant relaxing atmosphere watching live bands and other entertainment.

Finally Nikita is a new gay and lesbian bar and nightclub that offers style across its two floors and is open until 2.00am on Fridays and Saturdays.

Your holiday to Jersey start here with some of these exciting night spots in St Helier, but make sure they’re balanced by some quieter days on the beach!
